Tea Time.....

Since I was a little girl tea time was always quite special. Mother would pick out individually, for each of my sisters and myself, a special teacup, beautiful flowers with gilt edges & her fine china and sterling silverware. In her special rose floral teapot would brew a divine blend of black tea scented with cinnamon and oranges. She would prepare delectable treats to go with our cuppa yummy tea. Tiny sandwiches without the crust would appear on fine china & crystal plates. They would be filled with cucumber, salmon or even chocolate. My personal favorite! She would also include some homemade muffins or scones and sometimes a cookie.
When we would travel, my parents sought after the best coffee, tea and pastries. On a quaint island off the coast of Canada called Victoria is the grand hotel, The Empress. We would be dressed to the nines. I recall my little black velvet dress with my white lace ruffle socks perfectly folded at my ankles and my shiny patent leather Mary Janes. Sitting in the Conservatory of that fine hotel, little ladie's, my sisters and I would enjoy sipping on the finest Earl Grey's or English Breakfast's, tasting the best scones with creamery butter and lemon curd. This is the foundation for the name of our family coffee and tea house. All inspired by our vacations in Canada and Washington. What a joy it is to share our passion with our guests. My dear, humble brother in law loving roasts our coffee to perfection. My sister has quite a catch. I graciously enjoy purchasing and sharing the teas. My personal forte.
Since I was a child, I wanted to own a restaurant where people enjoyed coming to. I finally realized this morning as I was sipping on my Manjushree Estate Assam that my dream has finally come true. At 38, I have realized that it is never too late to really step back and look at one's life to really acknowledge that dreams really do come true. No matter what roads we choose, God is there guiding us to the special place he wants us to be. I now know that RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW is EXACTLY where HE wants me to be.

Life Changes, God's Grace

Today I bow humbly at my Lord's feet. I surrender my life into His hands wholly and passionately. I have neglected the precious heart of mine to care for a life that was not glorifying our God. My deepest parts are His, yet I was entrusting my life to man. Well, that man failed me. Our gracious Father in Heaven loves us so much and He does not want to see His little ones hurt. He placed opportunities before me to make the right decisions... the right ones that will bring Him the Glory. I cannot, nor will I ever take pride in these decisions. They are ALL upon Him. I was lost and He found me. I was blind and now I can see. Praise You God! Praise You Jesus! Thank you for the trial which brought about the change in my heart & soul; which brought me to my knees and You the GLORY!! His Grace is magnificent!

Waiting for the silence...

Waiting for the silence..... Waiting to hear His voice..... Waiting..... There is so much waiting in life. I wait WITH my Lord. I surrender to the grace that He brought to my life. I do not pray for patience... I have experienced that!! I pray for closeness to Him in this time. I pray for the voice of my Shepherd in this silence to calm my restlessness. May we all come to Him with humble hearts to trust in this waiting. We pray and we wait and we trust in Him. And ultimately we wait with Him... not on Him. Blessings to your day. May your soul be uplifted with the recognition of Him holding you while you wait.

Hands

"Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands." Psalm 90:17

Our hands are such amazing creations. Thank you Father for my hands. He created us with His mighty hands. He breathed life into us so that we too may create with our hands and do the blessed works He places upon our hearts and minds. Take a moment and look at your hands. Examine your fingers. Look at the veining, the knuckles, the digits, the nails... even the fine hairs. Move them around. Our Creator has something ever so special for each of us to do with our hands. Acknowledge the Almighty's power present within your hands and ask Him to guide you to fulfill His works through you. Allow yourself to come to a quiet moment to hear Him. You need not 'try' to listen, just let Him know that you 'ARE' listening and He shall guide you. Thank Him for the gift of Hands. May your hands be dilligent in work and creativity and touching in Love.

Have a Blessed and Beautiful day.

Forgiveness

In this world, we as believers, have been given the incredible gift of forgiveness. How is it that although we HAVE been forgiven by our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, that we cannot seem to forgive others. I have experienced recently that my forgiveness runs deep. And then I realized that my Love runs deeper. When we are able to forgive others no matter how horrible our circumstances with them may have been, we are able to love so much more deeply than ever imagined. I am experiencing such an upwelling of love because I have been forgiven and have FORGIVEN. Imagine the upwelling of LOVE our Lord has for us because HE shed His own blood for us to be forgiven of our sins. Please, take a moment today and search your heart. There must be someone who has hurt you or someone you know, that needs your forgiveness and love. Call out to Jesus and ask Him to guide your heart into this precious gift you can give to this other person. WE are ALL called to love one another. Judgement and grudges are poison to our souls. You can save two souls today, yours and the other persons. Healing is based upon forgiveness. I pray for Jesus love and guidance and the rememberance of the gift of forgiveness upon your heart. May your day be filled with the Light of our Lord and the Love of our God for sending His only Son into your life. May the Holy Spirit guide your heart in the blessing of forgiveness and sharing of Love. Praise Jesus.

Please, forgive your mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, foe...... whoever the Lord Jesus places upon your heart.... FORGIVE!

Prince of Peace

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27, NIV

Fret, Fret, Fret!! All we do is fret. Would it not be absolutely delightful to TRUST in the true Peace that we have received from Jesus Himself??? I CHOOSE to TRUST in the Peace given from Jesus, because what the world is offering is nothing. All of the anxieties and frustrations and worries and fears can ALL BE GONE, when and only when, we can place OUR TRUST IN HIM!! Now THAT is a PEACE I can rely upon. I PRAISE Jesus for the TRUTH and WISDOM He has given His believers through the Holy Spirit. He IS the Prince of Peace come to bring us into restoration and reconciliation with our Heavenly Father. Let us Praise and Adore Him as is due. God's Blessings upon you and yours.
